First off I would like to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I’ve had a tough time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Thank you!

Beth: I’m afraid those financial savings will be a pittance compared to the debt! Though some saving is better than nothing!

LED's are awesome - the backlight on a lot of the newer laptops is LED, which is brighter *and* uses less power - so you can see even outside in the sun, and the battery lasts longer. Also, LED's are better than CFL's as they have fewer hazardous materials and work better in cold weather than CFL's. Brett Legree’s last blog post..viking fridays - burning logs and reindeer bones.

I really notice some benefits of LED’s. For example, LED headlamps that you use for camping or hiking at night. They use a fraction of the batteries and are much lighter than the crummy incandescent lamps we used to have to use.

Though the one thing I dont’ like is LED Christmas lights. Yes, I know they’er supposed to save money. (And theoretically, if we were good Citizens of the earth, we wouldn’t put up Christmas lights in the fist place!)

But I LIKE Christmas ligths. And I like them bright. And the cold, forlorn-looking LED’s just dont’ cut it!
